NOTIZIE SUL GRUPPO

Mumford & Sons è un gruppo londinese indie rock e folk formato nel 2008. Il gruppo è composto da Marcus Mumford (voce, chitarra e batteria) Winston Marshall (voce, chitarra resofonica e banjo) Ben Lovett (voce, organo e tastiera) e Ted Dwane (voce e contrabbasso).

Formatisi nel 2008 hanno pubblicato tre EP. In seguito hanno firmato un contratto con l'etichetta Island Records e hanno pubblicato il loro album di debutto, Sigh No More, il 6 ottobre 2009 per la Gentlemen of the Road, sottoetichetta della Island. L'album ha raggiunto la seconda posizione in classifica britannica e statunitense dove è stato certificato platino.
